Chefee is a home robot chef that cooks up to three whole meals simultaneously.
I was tasked with designing an app that allows users to operate and monitor their chef robot and to develop features such as meal schedule, plan and apps integrations.

Creating a Simple & Trustworthy Experience
The goal was to design a reliable and easy-to-use app that showcases Chefee’s capabilities while making sure users feel safe and in control. The app provides the information and manual controls users need to operate Chefee effortlessly, with a strong focus on trust and usability.
Designed to be scalable, the app can grow with future updates. By keeping the user experience clear and intuitive, it builds confidence and sets the stage for a successful launch and adoption. A well-designed experience also helped attract investors by showing how practical and user-friendly the app is.
I started working on the App meeting the founders and understanding their product features, brand identity and vision. Then I began my research of the User’s needs, tracing their journey maps in order to thoroughly understand the needs and detect pain points, followed by planning the structure of the App. I Added and refined features that will enable the best suited user flow for the User and the App.

I organized and concluded the App’s features into an IA map that included:
A simple interface of Recipe selection to choose from as main flow, meal planning and scheduling as secondary user flow and an easy access to Chefee AI and manual operation.
User portal that includes adjusted and adding your own recipes, collecting feedback for better customization, apps integrations and a menu that includes necessary settings but also leaving room for future developed features.
Design Challenges
Crafting an Intuitive Interface for Chef Robot Control
Design a screen that monitors the Chef Robot’s On-going activities while allowing users to intervene, if needed, for an immediate control of the chef robot or heaters.
After sketching and testing several variations, I iterated on different versions of the design for a control screen, to ensure a seamless user experience.
The final design gives users a clear, intuitive view of the robot, with the app's interface mirroring the real-life placement of the robot and its pots. This alignment makes it feel natural for users to control the robot through the app, allowing them to easily visualize the cooking process as if the robot were right in front of them.

A first-time encounter can lead to fear, uncertainty, and discourage engagement with the product and in order to overcome this challenge I wanted to add reassurance and guide the user throughout the process.
Solution
I designed a key screen to streamline the cooking process for users. It provides users with a clear, step-by-step visual of each stage in the cooking process, ensuring they can always know what's happening and what comes next in one click.
This solution enhances the overall user experience by making the process intuitive and easy to follow, fostering confidence and smooth interactions with the robot.

I began by sketching wireframes based on thorough research into user needs and industry best practices. Each wireframe was designed to prioritize ease of use and clear navigation. After presenting the initial concepts, I gathered feedback from the founders, which highlighted key areas for improvement.

This process ensured that the design remained user-centered while also meeting the project's strategic goals. I focused on making the interface intuitive and the flow seamless, incorporating feedback to enhance functionality. Process and progress are always ongoing. After completing my project with Chefee, we remain in continuous contact to address user feedback and collaborate on necessary iterations and new features.

In addition to my work on the UX and UI design for Chefee startup, I also contributed to the web design, ensuring the brand's online presence was cohesive and visually appealing. I helped the team crafting marketing emails that effectively communicated the product's value, helping to drive user engagement and interest. These efforts supported the overall marketing strategy, aligning with the startup's goals to attract customers and investors. My contributions extended beyond just design, enhancing the startup's branding and outreach efforts across multiple platforms.
